The Space Key is a collection of five physical objects that unlocks a unique digital artwork by an unidentified artist. Created in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm) The 'collector's piece' is limited to five units and will soon be auctioned off.
At the heart of each Space Key is a block of advanced carbon fire composite material. It was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After returning to Earth, it was imprinted with a QR code, which connects it to the digital element of the Space Key.
Each of the five Space Keys will feature a distinct moment that occurs only seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. More than 600 million pixels make up each of the five images, which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.
Oefner utilized a balloon with a camera that captured each of the individual shots that were then merged to create the final image. The result is a truly out of this world image that captures the beauty of the Earth as well as the futuristic, hyper-realistic picture of the car rising from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and time of the event haven't been confirmed yet.
