A tri-wheeled stroller is ideal for off-roading and provides a smooth ride for baby. Find models with pneumatic tyres. These are made to work on tracks that are not paved, and are able to withstand dirt, gravel, rocks and other debris. A majority of all-terrain buggies come with an swivelling front wheel that can be locked to provide stability when dealing with extremely rough terrain.
A 3-wheel pram is also an ideal option for runners or for those who like to walk quickly and uphill, particularly in the event that you're planning to connect a car seat or carrycot. Weight
If you're looking for a buggy that can tackle difficult terrain, then you should choose one with big tires. For newborns you have the option to use the carrycot and (which MFM reviewer Alice says is a comfortable and cozy lying flat bed that can be used both on and off the buggy), while older babies and toddlers can use the parent-facing or world-facing seat that is spacious and padded, and comes with adjustable ventilation. The seats don't fully recline, but they can be lowered to the lowest position. This should still allow your child to have plenty of space and headroom.
A sling seat made of fabric is also available, which offers the advantage of being set snugly inside the frame rather than over the top of an open-back seat. This delivers a much lower centre of gravity and perfect weight distribution. This makes it easier to push, particularly on bumpy terrain or over curbs. MFM reviewer Kath liked the way this type of seat handled the obstacles.

A good quality ATP will have excellent suspension, pneumatic tyres and an ergonomic handle that is cushioned for your comfort. It is also able to take car seats and a carrycot which means you can use it from the moment you are born.
MFM's reviewers discovered that the
3 Wheel Stroller Set-wheeler frames couldn't pass through their doors at home or car boot. If you're worried about space, make sure you check the dimensions of the buggy once it is folded before buying.
Choose a 3-wheeler with 2 (or
3 wheel running stroller!) seats. This is the best choice for your child's future and will save you money. The iCandy Strawberry Sport is one of the most sought-after. It can be used from day dot as a single buggy and later transformed into twin buggies when your baby starts to walk.
Tyres
Air filled tyres are designed to give your child an easier ride by cushioning bumps and uneven surfaces. They are typically found on pushchairs like the Phil & Ted’s Sport that MFM reviewer Kath said was "an outstanding ride for her toddler". She also noted that the grippy tyres of the Phil & Ted's Sport made it easy for her to navigate the kerbs and other obstacles.
These tyres are sometimes difficult to maintain and will need to have their air pressure topped up regularly. They are also more susceptible to punctures than foam tyres so you'll need to ensure that you have a repair kit, spare inner tube and pump handy when you're out and about in your buggy.
PU tyres are more commonly used on pushchairs since they are a cheaper option than air-filled tyres but are equally robust. You can tell PU tire treads by their matte appearance and soft, smooth feel. They also glide well on smooth and tightly woven surfaces.
If you rub your hands over the tyres, then you can tell if they're PU or rubber. If it feels like it is sliding then it's a rubber tyre, which is a. You can also test whether your buggy comes with PU tyres by sliding them on flat, clean surfaces. They should roll easily and fit snugly into the wheel hubs.
Foam tyres are able to withstand the rough terrain that comes with high-performance buggies. The drawback is that the foam could shrink and make your buggy appear less stable as it loses its springy nature. Additionally, these tyres may often be noisy as they generate a lot of noise as you turn and make your way around the town.
